Additional ingredients can include hard-boiled eggs, mustard, and mayonnaise for creaminess. Forshmak is typically served on slices of black bread or as a topping for baked potatoes. It’s a unique blend of ingredients that captures the culinary essence of Odesa, combining the region’s maritime influences with traditional Eastern European flavors.
