Soviet Legacy and Beyond: The Historical Monuments of Kazakhstan

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Abylai Khan's residence today serves as the only architectural monument (museum) to Abylai Khan in Kazakhstan. The museum itself opened in 2018 but has the most complicated and mysterious background. In 1765, a residence for the khan was built as a place where both the Kazakh and Russian governments could meet to discuss.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THIS PLACE

Visitors will be able to learn and see with their own eyes how one of the most controversial events in Kazakhstan's history occurred. Joining the Russian Empire was a huge turning point in the development of the Kazakh nation, so it is a must to visit this museum and learn more about the tragedy and flight of the Kazakh people.

THIS PLACE IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE

The residence holds many memories and secrets and only by popularizing it will further scientists and historians be able to unravel the mystery behind the building. It is a great and unique opportunity for people to learn about one of the best politicians and rulers Abylai Khan and his life

SPECIAL TIPS

Abylai Khan's residence is full of Kazakh culture: clothes, foods, dishes, history, etc. But the main idea is the years when the Kazakh nation lost its independence and power.

Read about Abylai Khan so as not to get completely lost in the new names and years, because even the history of just this person and the situation he found himself in is incredibly complicated, without even mentioning the whole years of our nation.
