Mosque Shakpak Ata

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Shakpak Ata cave mosque, located on the western slope of the plateau (Mangystau region), carved into the calcareous rock, is a structure with four chambers arranged in a cruciform pattern around a central room with a dome-shaped ceiling. In the center of this cross is a central hall with a hemispherical dome. The four corners of the square central hall are adorned with semi-columns, and the capitals on each one are unique. A skylight with a diameter of 1.2 meters and a height of 5 meters has been carved into the center of the dome.
