CENTER FOR TRADITIONAL ARTS

Icherisheher: Preservation and preaching of cultural heritage

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Icherisheher Centre

Unveiled in 2012, the Centre for Traditional Arts, it's a place where the rich tapestry of cultural heritage comes alive, traditions are cherished, and curiosity is ignited. In December 2016, the "Dastan" brand was introduced, an embodiment of our commitment to preserving the artistry of silver jewelry, batik, ceramics, woodwork, and decorative painting. Our treasures are handcrafted by a dedicated team of artisans, each honing their craft over months. Supported by local master craftsmen and the Prince's School of Traditional Arts, we merge past wisdom with present techniques, infusing Azerbaijani heritage with modern innovation. Beyond crafting exquisite products, we play a role in restoring the Beyler Mosque and designing the illustrious 'Shirvanshah Throne' in Baku's Old City.
