Becoming aware of this might encourage you to listen to the desire to slow down, to give yourself a breather, to escape, even if only for brief moments, from the whirlwind of modern society, just as it happened to us! And that's how what seemed like just a dream is now a reality at your disposal! At Corte G-ihoh-ia, you'll find a place of peace and togetherness where the predominant creature could only be the donkey, our life teacher. No one teaches us slowness, hospitality, resilience, and patience better than him, qualities we are in desperate need of. Rutilia, Vilma, Domenico, and Silvano can't wait to meet you!
THE FARM
In the province of Verona
You can find us in Cerea, a town in the province of Verona, in a rustic countryside building dating back to the 1800s, surrounded by hectares of fields and a deciduous forest that we planted thanks to a collaboration project with the Yves Rocher Foundation, which, just like us, promotes biodiversity for a positive impact on the environment.
WHAT WE DO
Animal-assisted interventions
Here you will find AAI, Animal-Assisted Interventions, programs that allow you to connect with animals, bringing you back to a state of tranquility and reconnecting you with nature. There are numerous benefits you can derive from them: increased self-esteem, overcoming unconscious fears, experiencing a sense of warmth and trust, and more. And when you can't do without frequenting us continuously, you can satisfy your interests with cultural events, indulge in themed evenings, or rediscover the child within you during days dedicated to childhood. Animal knowledge paths will be your way of finding new, unexpected, and loyal friends, while the workshops to refine your manual skills will make you feel like a skilled craftsman and a limitless artist. Nature sensory journeys will be your first choice when you want to establish a deep connection with yourself and the surrounding environment. You can also feel like a guardian of the planet that hosts us through the philosophy of barter and the "reuse square": days dedicated to exchange and a WhatsApp group with over 120 members, aiming to give a second life to still-usable goods with a focus on saving. Bartering also allows you to form new and meaningful relationships with those who share this life philosophy that stands against consumerism.
HOW WE WORK
As a team
Animal-assisted interventions will make you feel like part of a real team! With the veterinarian, you'll feel at ease because everything is carried out with the utmost respect for your health and the animal's. The co-therapist is the best interpreter between you and the animal, much like when you want to communicate with someone who doesn't speak your language; they know the animal and guide you on a path of mutual understanding. The project coordinator is the great conductor and ensures that the entire production in which you are a co-star runs smoothly, harmonizing all the elements. The educator will enlighten you about the dynamics of learning to discover new ways of acquiring knowledge. The psychologist... well, the psychologist is essential for the well-being of everyone and for being sensitive to the needs and peculiarities of each individual. At Corte, you can witness the talents of our members and supporters, who often liven up the days and offer workshops where you can explore the world of music, theater, naturopathy, herbalism, astronomy, cultivation, and more.
