ABOUT US
A center made of people
We are people who welcome other people, each with their own story and vulnerabilities. There are those who are 15 years old and express what they cannot put into words with their bodies. There are those who are 60 years old and no longer wish to express themselves. Then there's us, who, in the face of this diverse humanity, sometimes feel so small that we are surprised when we realize that we have initiated a process of change. These stories are sometimes told, but more often, they are written on the faces of those we meet. Reading those faces can be difficult and tiring, but that's why we also share in the joys. So, we find ourselves waiting for the arrival of cheerful children who come to spend a day outdoors with us.
THE FARM
A farm surrounded by greenery
When we arrive at the farm, it feels like we are far away from everything and everyone. In spring, swallows await us, in summer, we hear the distant voices of playing children. Then, as it starts to get colder and the days shorten, that's when we immediately sense the presence of the donkeys. They observe us even before we notice them and come towards us with small puffs of warm air. Alongside them, we wait for those who are about to arrive, and we are sure they will welcome them in the best way, "playing" with the younger children, approaching gently to those who are more fragile, and discreetly observing those who don't tolerate judgmental looks.
WHAT WE DO
Animal Assisted Interventions
We are in a relationship with people, gently guiding them to find themselves or rediscover themselves. We listen to the stories of the elderly and their lived experiences, realizing how distant that time has become but how vivid it remains in their memory. We answer the curious questions of children who are beginning to discover a piece of the world, understanding how much they need to establish a spontaneous connection with nature and animals. We observe the gestures of those without words, respecting the silences of those who could speak but can't. Those gestures and silences become a part of us as well.
HOW WE WORK
Words, silences, looks
We work with words, but often also with silence because sometimes there's no need to speak, but rather to intensely share an experience. We pick up on small gestures and smiles because we've realized that there's much more behind those gestures and smiles. We give time and space to those who ask for it because it has been taken from them or because they can't experience it elsewhere.
THE EXPERIENCE WE OFFER
Special relationships
In the morning, we are always greeted by the youngest and most exuberant donkey in the herd, who would like to participate in all the activities. Shortly after, the others arrive, starting with the wisest and most patient donkey, who watches and moves its ears before approaching. They say it's the donkeys who "choose," and often, someone smiles at this statement. However, it can happen that a donkey approaches once and then the same donkey approaches a second time. That's when we may have entered a special relationship, and we realize that this experience can be similar to what the people we welcome go through.
