SPECIAL TIPS
Yi-Shan Temple is located near Liuying Jianshanpi Resort. A folktale has been told about this temple and an unexploded ordnance which is in the resort. During World War II, Japanese military facilities were destroyed by air strikes. Jianshanpi Reservoir, considered an important military facility at that time, was the primary objective of an air raid. To destroy the reservoir, the bomb was dropped. The goddess of the Yi-Shan temple used her power to safeguard this place and the villagers who inhabited around the reservoir. To intercept the bomb, the goddess flew into the air and caught it with her clothes. She put the bomb on the bank of the reservoir and prevented the disaster. The remainder of the unexploded ordnance is still being put in the resort as an installation art now. Tourists are able to see the historical landmark at the resort.
