MANOR PARK

Ilzenbergas Manor - a Sustainable Travel Destination in Lithuania

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Ilzenbergas Manor is surrounded by a grand park, which is divided into the following spiritual spaces: Nobility, Greatness, Love, Dreams, Idyll, Joy, Wisdom, and Sublimity.

As well as the Manor House, the park is cultural heritage, an inseparable part of the ensemble which creates a sense of history and unity with nature.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THIS PLACE

The park is situated in a spectacular landscape including two lakes: Ilgis and Apvalasas.

It is an attractive travel destination for those who wish to relax and enjoy and spend time in a natural park, which has been nurtured for centuries.

The Bridge of Love floating on the surface of the lake will take you to Love Island. Visitors may enjoy a stroll and admire the Fountain of Love.

THIS PLACE IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE

The park is a cherished hub for the community, hosting a myriad of celebrations, from the lively Midsummer Festival to State Restoration Day and diverse concerts.

It is also open for family celebrations and newest entertainment by taking a trip in a electric catamaran in the lake.

SPECIAL TIPS

The Manor park is unique for its plants. The current owner Vaidas Barakauskas takes a lot of care to preserve local varieties of trees. Thus, for instance, a huge oak tree, 30,5 meters high, 2 meters in diameter has been declared a natural heritage object protected by the state. So, take a long walk in the park, surrounding Ilzenbergas Manor House. The pathways will take you through flower gardens and decorative plants, further to the Ilgis Lake, ringed by local varieties of plants and trees.
