Constructed in 1797 under the rule of Mammad Hasan Khan, the palace compound encompasses the Khan's dwelling and center of authority, a mosque, baths, pantries, stables, barns, and ancillary service structures.
As of July 7, 2019, the Sheki Khan Palace earned the esteemed recognition of being inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list.
